The driver of a homemade electric scooter was injured in a collision with a Ford in Mykolaiv
The rider of the two-wheeled vehicle was taken to a medical facility; the car driver was not injured
Today, October 6, in Mykolaiv a passenger car and a homemade electric scooter collided. The 45-year-old rider of the two-wheeled vehicle was injured — an ambulance team transported him from the scene to a medical facility. This was reported by the Communications Department of the Police in Mykolaiv Region.
The accident occurred at approximately 16:10 on Bohoyavlensky Avenue, near building 42 A. Driving the Ford Fiesta was a 67-year-old man. He was not injured.
The preliminary legal qualification of the incident determined by investigators is Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: violation by drivers of traffic safety rules or the operation of vehicles. The sanction provides for up to three years of restriction of liberty with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for the same period.
Police continue to investigate all the circumstances of the collision.
