Port, service station and hotel: three people hospitalized after rocket and drone attack on Mykolaiv

During the day on October 2, 2026, Russian forces carried out a combined attack on Mykolaiv. According to preliminary information, the enemy used missile weapons and strike UAVs. As a result of the strike, three men were injured — all were hospitalized, and medical personnel are providing them with necessary care.

The Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration reported on the preliminary consequences of the daytime combined strike on the city.

“Today during the day the enemy carried out a combined attack on Mykolaiv, reportedly using missile weapons and strike UAVs. According to available information, three men were injured as a result of the attack. All were hospitalized. Medical personnel are providing them with the necessary care. The attack damaged port and civilian infrastructure facilities, including an administrative building, production and storage premises, an office building, a hotel-restaurant complex and a service station.”

Thus, both port and civilian infrastructure facilities in Mykolaiv were hit. Among the damaged objects are administrative and office buildings, production and storage premises, a hotel-restaurant complex and a service station.

The Mykolaiv Region State Emergency Service (DSNS) clarified that several fires broke out in the city following the daytime strike. The fire affected the territories of two facilities:

• at the service station the fire spread over an area of 100 sq. m;
• on the territory of the hotel-restaurant complex the fire covered 150 sq. m.

Both fires were promptly extinguished by rescuers.

In addition, in one of the districts of Mykolaiv, three garages caught fire after the attack. The total area of the fire was 60 sq. m. Firefighters extinguished the blaze; there were no casualties at that location.

According to the latest official data, a total of three people were injured as a result of the daytime strike on Mykolaiv — all are men and are in hospital.
