In Odesa region, a 19-year-old man was detained in connection with the murder of a 15-year-old girl
The body of Alina Ursa, her hands bound, was found in a dumpster on August 29
29 August in one of the villages of Odesa region law enforcement officers discovered the body of 15-year-old Alina Ursa. The girl went missing the day before, 28 August. This was reported by the Izmail District Prosecutor’s Office.
According to preliminary information, the minor’s hands were tied, and her body was placed in a bag and hidden in a trash bin. It was preliminarily established that the death may have been due to asphyxiation. The exact cause of death will be determined by a forensic medical examination.
On the day the body was found, law enforcement detained a 19-year-old resident of that village. He is currently being checked for possible involvement in the crime; investigative actions are being carried out with the detainee.
The Izmail District Prosecutor’s Office is providing procedural leadership in the criminal proceedings initiated on the fact of intentional homicide. The case is being investigated under part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
