In Mykolaiv, the dining facilities of two gymnasiums are being renovated; work on one will be completed by the end of September

On the eve of September 1, Mykolaiv is checking the readiness of educational institutions to welcome students. Special attention is being paid to the renovation of canteens in the city’s gymnasiums.

Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych reported that, together with the acting head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Heorhii Reshetilov, and team representatives, he visited two gymnasiums where repair work is currently underway.

The modernization of the canteens is being carried out under a state program initiated by the First Lady of Ukraine. Mykolaiv received co-financing from the state budget for the implementation of these projects.

In one of the gymnasiums, the repairs have already reached the final stage. The contractor reported that they plan to fully complete the work in the coming weeks.

At the other site, work is still ongoing. The necessary funding has already been allocated, but to speed up the repairs the number of workers needs to be increased.

“We agreed with the contractor that he will increase the number of workers to finish the repairs by the end of September,” — said Oleksandr Sienkevych.

According to the mayor, Mykolaiv, together with the region, continues to work on completing all planned tasks. This should ensure that schoolchildren are provided with meals in modern and comfortable conditions.

Earlier, Mykolaiv schools decided on the format of schooling for the new academic year.
