For the first time in a long while, Ukraine is selling more electricity than it is buying: exports +48%, imports –40% in July
The main destination is Hungary (48% of the volume), and shipments to Poland resumed for the first time since November 2025

In July, Ukraine became a net exporter of electricity for the first time in a long period — sales volumes exceeded purchases, according to the industry publication ExPro.
By the monthly results, electricity exports increased by 48% — to 232.5 thousand MWh, while imports decreased by 40% — to 175 thousand MWh.
The most notable increase occurred in the direction of Slovakia — almost sixfold, and shipments to Poland resumed for the first time since November 2025.
The main market remained Hungary, which accounted for 48% of total exports.
At the same time, compared with July 2025, exports decreased by almost 18%, and imports fell by 32%.
