In the Varash district of Rivne region, a war veteran said that employees of the TCC and SP pulled him out of a truck, hit him several times, forced him into a minibus and later threw him out of the vehicle while it was moving after learning of his status as a combatant and his disability; the police are conducting an investigation, and the TCC insists the conflict has been resolved.

According to local media cited by TSN, the man works as a driver of international transports and, while resting before a trip in a parking lot, ended up in a TCC minibus after a sudden inspection.

“I was standing in the parking lot, resting in the truck. A van pulled up, they knocked on the door. Since I am a combat veteran, I have nothing to hide. After opening the door, they demanded my documents. I asked about the legality. There was no legality. A police officer came out, cited Article 32, and they immediately grabbed me by the legs — into the van. They said: ‘You don’t have time anymore, you don’t want to present your documents, you’ll sort it out at the TCC,'” the veteran said.

“They threw me into the van, punched me in the teeth twice and drove off… Literally after one and a half kilometers they opened the wallet, saw the documents that I am a veteran, saw that I have a disability. Their tone immediately changed. One of those who hit me said: ‘We’re taking him to Sarny, let him walk.’ And the other, who looked through the documents, changed his tone and said: ‘We’ll drop him off here,'” the veteran said.

According to the man, he and his documents were thrown out of the minibus while it was moving, after which he got home, called an ambulance and the police.

The veteran said that he took up the defense of Ukraine in 2015, and in 2025 in the Donetsk region he was wounded, after which he was discharged from service for health reasons and received a disability.

The head of the veterans’ corps of the Rivne branch, Kostyantyn Lazarchuk, reported that he and other veterans came to support their comrade and spoke with representatives of the TCC.

“The guys who ‘packed’ him came. There were such burly men, almost two meters tall,” said the head of the veterans’ corps of the Rivne branch, Kostyantyn Lazarchuk.

According to him, TCC employees admitted guilt and apologized to the veteran, and the police began an investigation; in a comment to journalists, the Rivne regional TCC and SP reported that the conflict has been resolved, but the institution has not yet issued an official statement.

“At first the complainant told the police that he did not need medical assistance, but later he turned to the emergency medical service. After some time, the police received a report from medical workers about providing assistance to a 30-year-old resident of the city of Uman. As a result of the examination, abrasions of the lip, back and thigh were diagnosed. Hospitalization was not required,” said Maria Yustytska, a representative of the Rivne region police.
