"Barakudy" broke through to Zaliznyi Port: marines delivered FPV drones and struck the occupiers

Fighters of the 40th Separate Marine Brigade carried out a complex operation near the temporarily occupied Zaliznyi Port in the Kherson region. Barracuda maritime unmanned boats delivered FPV drones to the shore, which after reconnaissance struck Russian logistics, camouflaged positions, vehicles and personnel.

While moving to the designated area, a swarm of Barracuda maritime drones came under attack by Russian loitering munitions “Lancet”. The occupiers tried to disable one of the Ukrainian boats, using against it four “Lancets”. According to the brigade, one USV was lost, but the remaining platforms continued to carry out the mission.

Russian outlets circulated footage of the attack on the Ukrainian boat as proof of the operation’s failure. In reality, the remaining maritime platforms overcame the enemy’s defenses and reached the launch point for the strike drones.

The 40th Separate Marine Brigade spoke about the final stage of the operation.

“After reconnaissance, FPV drones took to the sky, which for the first time struck the enemy’s logistics, camouflaged positions and personnel in the area of Zaliznyi Port in the Kherson region”.

The released footage shows hits on buildings where Russian servicemen were located, on vehicles, and on the occupiers’ fortification structures.

The operation was carried out by servicemen of the Barracuda unit in coordination with fighters of the 1st Company Group and the 426th Separate Regiment of Unmanned Systems.
