Four civilian vessels treated as "military targets": Russian attack killed two people in Mykolaiv
Port under attack, people killed: Russia strikes civilian infrastructure in Mykolaiv region
During 17 July 2026 Russian occupying forces attacked Mykolaiv Oblast with strike drones of the “Shahed” type. The Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration reported on the consequences of the enemy strikes as of 07:00 18 July 2026.
The worst consequences were from the attack on the port infrastructure in Mykolaiv. As a result of the enemy strike, two men aged 35 and 37 were killed.
According to updated data from the RMA, Russian drones damaged four civilian vessels sailing under foreign flags. A fire also broke out on the territory of the port infrastructure.
Russian drones also attacked the Radsadivska community of Mykolaiv Raion. A private residential house was damaged there as a result of the strike. According to regional authorities, people were not injured.
The Bashtanskyi Raion was also under enemy fire. During 17 July Russian forces struck the Horokhivska community. Preliminary reports indicate the occupiers used a multiple-launch rocket system. There were no casualties as a result of the shelling.
