In Kharkiv in February two underage girls, recruited by Russian special services, fatally poisoned a serviceman of the National Guard of Ukraine; this was reported by the head of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office Yurii Papusha in an interview with Ukrinform.

“Unfortunately, we are already seeing that children are being involved in the commission of particularly serious crimes. A minor girl via Telegram received from a Russian handler an offer for 5000 dollars to kill a National Guard serviceman. She involved her friend in committing the crime,” — said the head of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office Yurii Papusha.

According to the investigation, the teenagers met the serviceman and in February invited him to a hotel, where they carried out the plan following the handler’s instructions.

The girls collected the methadone via a parcel locker and, following the client’s instructions, mixed the substance into the vodka that they gave to the man.

The Russian handler monitored the events via video link and ordered that the serviceman be strangled; however, experts determined that by that time the victim had already died from poisoning.

One of the perpetrators put a plastic bag over the deceased’s head, covered his face with a pillow and held it down, streaming this by video as confirmation of completing the task.

After the killing the underage girls disposed of the packaging from the narcotic substance and left the crime scene.

Law enforcement quickly identified both participants in the crime; they are now in custody and admit to the killing.
