Ukrzaliznytsia reallocates carriages to popular routes: Mykolaiv — Kyiv is now daily, and six more pairs become daily

Rail service between Sumy and Rakhiv has been restored, and a Kyiv–Chernivtsi train has been scheduled to run every other day; ticket sales open 5–20 days before departure

Ukrzaliznytsia has announced schedule changes: in the near future a number of popular routes will be switched to daily service, including train № 121/122 Mykolaiv — Kyiv, which is a response to the change in passenger flows since the beginning of summer.

The company explained that there is a redistribution of carriages: on routes with lower demand their number is being reduced, while trains with increased occupancy are being reinforced with additional carriages.

Seven pairs of trains are being transferred to daily service at once:

  • 4/3 UzhhorodDnipro;
  • 86/85 LvivZaporizhzhia;
  • 128/127 LvivKryvyi Rih, Zaporizhzhia;
  • 78/77 KovelOdesa;
  • 88/87 KovelDnipro;
  • 7/8 KharkivOdesa;
  • 121/122 MykolaivKyiv.

In addition, service of train №143/144 SumyRakhiv is being restored. The route will again connect the northeast with the west of the country and will provide direct links between Sumy, Bilopillia and Konotop with Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Ternopil, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Yaremche and Vorokhta.

Due to high demand, an additional train №227/228 KyivChernivtsi has been scheduled, which will run every other day via Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Ternopil, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk and Kolomyia.

The consist of this train includes platzkart, kupe and SV carriages.

Ticket sales open depending on the departure date: the sales window ranges from 5 to 20 days before the trip.
