Soldiers from the 118th Separate Mechanized Brigade set a national record in the category “Military Resilience and Defense” for continuously holding the village of Mala Tokmachka in Zaporizhia Oblast for more than 1500 days.

The achievement was announced on the brigade’s official Facebook page, publishing the relevant materials and confirmation via the link.

The diploma confirming the record was handed to the command by Oleh Ivanenko, head of the supervisory board of the national project “Book of Records of Ukraine”.

The national records registry emphasized that this is one of the longest-held defensive lines in the current Russian‑Ukrainian war, and that the Defense Forces continue to control the area despite constant assaults, artillery shelling, air strikes and drone attacks.

“The national record is a recording of the fact for history. But the main reward for us is every preserved meter of Ukrainian land,” the military emphasized.
