Hospital amid the rubble, community under FPV drones: what the Mykolaiv region experienced over the past day
Strike on the city and 10 attacks on the community: Russia continues its terror against civilian infrastructure
According to Mykolaiv OVA, as of the morning of 22 May 2026, during the past day Russian forces again attacked the region. The enemy used Shahed-type UAVs in the region: “Shahed”. As a result of the attack and falling debris in Mykolaiv, windows of the hospital administration building were damaged. A fire also broke out at an industrial facility after the attack. It was promptly extinguished. According to the regional military administration, there are no casualties from this attack.
Separately, Mykolaiv district was hit. Over the past day Russian forces attacked 10 times with FPV drones the Ochakiv community. No information about casualties in the community has been received.
Russia continues to combine attacks across the region: it employs strike UAVs against the regional center while keeping coastal communities under daily pressure from FPV drones. Civilian facilities, hospitals, industrial sites and communities where civilians remain are again coming under attack.
