200 children of defenders from Mykolaiv region will go to the Carpathians for recovery: football, psychologists, comprehensive support
Starts in June in the Ivano-Frankivsk region: a project of the Regional Military Administration (OVA) and the Ukrainian Association of Football (UAF) with the support of the President
In June, children of servicemen, veterans, the fallen, the missing, and captured Defenders of Ukraine from Mykolaiv region will head to Ivano-Frankivsk region for a mental and physical recovery program under the “Carpathian Shift” initiative; the region’s participation in the project is planned for 200 children.
The Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration announced the start of the trips and the recruitment of groups, specifying that the initiative is being implemented jointly with the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Military Administration and the Public Union “Ukrainian Association of Football” with the support of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky.
The program includes familiarization with the cultural and historical heritage of the Carpathian region, team sports activities, as well as meetings and interactions with coaches, footballers, and representatives of the football community.
Organizers pay special attention to providing psychological support to the children to ensure a sense of safety, create opportunities for new friendships, and stabilize their emotional state in an environment where they can be children without the daily pressure of war.
Participants are guaranteed full accompaniment, medical support, branded equipment, and safe transportation, as well as clearly organized logistics for the stay throughout the entire trip.
Children from 13 regions of Ukraine will join the “Carpathian Shift”, and for Mykolaiv region this is an additional opportunity to strengthen care for those who most need rest and positive experiences.
On May 19, the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Military Administration and the Public Union “Ukrainian Association of Football” signed a memorandum of cooperation to implement this initiative.
