From war — to peace: 10 children from Mykolaiv will be sent on holiday to France
Preparations are currently underway to form a group of children who will go on a vacation
This summer 10 children from Mykolaiv will go to France for recuperation. They will spend two weeks there as part of a cooperation project between the municipalities of Mykolaiv and the French city Montpellier.
This was announced during a live broadcast that took place on May 15, 2026, by the regional development manager of the municipal institution “Mykolaiv Development Agency” Yevhen Homonyuk.
According to him, preparations are currently underway to form the group of children who will travel for the trip.
Yevhen Homonyuk noted that similar cooperation with the sister city Montpellier was already coordinated last year. This time the children’s recuperation will take place under the project “Solidarity Partnership”.
“Last year we already coordinated cooperation with the sister city Montpellier. It is a French city. And within the framework of the project “Solidarity Partnership” with this city we are currently preparing to form a group of children”, — said Yevhen Homonyuk.
He added that the project became possible thanks to municipal cooperation and a memorandum of cooperation between the municipalities of Montpellier and Mykolaiv.
