SAPO: Yermak sought advice from fortune-teller Veronika on appointments — from the Ministry of Health to the prime minister
During a search of a driver, authorities seized a plan titled "Security Service of Ukraine: Program Maximum" concerning the SBU — some personnel decisions have already been implemented
At the High Anti-Corruption Court it was reported: Andriy Yermak consulted about state appointments with a fortune-teller and gave her candidates’ birthdates
During a session of the High Anti-Corruption Court on May 12, it became known that the former head of the Office of the President, Andriy Yermak, discussed possible appointments to state positions with a woman saved in his phone as «Veronika Feng Shui Office», sent her candidates’ dates of birth and asked for advice.
According to SAP prosecutor Valentyna Grebenyuk, consultations with «Veronika Feng Shui» concerned, in particular, the post of Minister of Health, the deputy head of the Office of the President Oleg Tatarov, the head of the State Affairs Administration Ihor Lysyi, as well as former Prosecutor General Iryna Venediktova and the Prime Minister.
In court, read-out excerpts of correspondence were presented in which Yermak sent candidates’ birthdates and asked that they be evaluated for appointment; in the messages he characterized Ihor Lysyi, the head of the State Affairs Administration, as «his man».
In addition, during the hearing it was reported that, according to the investigation, during a search at Yermak’s driver’s house on December 24, 2025, 3 sheets were seized from his Mercedes containing a document titled «SBU of Ukraine: Program Maximum», which contained plans for personnel decisions in the SBU, as well as references to a «minimum program» and a «medium program».
The cited materials discussed appointments to key positions in the SBU; some of the people on the list already hold these positions, and among the figures mentioned was the former head of the SBU Cybersecurity Department, General Illia Vityuk, who had previously been notified of suspicion by NABU detectives and SAP prosecutors.
The prosecution believes that Yermak has significant influence over personnel decisions in state bodies, including law enforcement agencies, and may use this resource to influence the course of the investigation, conceal evidence, or pressure participants in the process.
On the evening of May 11, the former head of the Office of the President of Ukraine was notified of suspicion. Earlier, on November 28, 2025, anti-corruption agencies carried out searches in his residence, which were later confirmed by both NABU and SAP; Yermak himself also reported investigative actions in the government quarter, confirming searches in his apartment.
A week before these events, the head of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office, Oleksandr Klymenko, stated that in the Mindich case a person with the call sign «Ali-Baba» was involved, and unofficially this referred to Andriy Yermak. Subsequently, President Volodymyr Zelensky dismissed Yermak from the post of head of the Office of the President, and on January 2 appointed the head of the GUR, Kyrylo Budanov, as the new head of the Office. After his resignation, Yermak said he intended to go to the front, and later headed a committee he initiated under the National Association of Advocates on the protection of victims of armed aggression, compensation mechanisms, and the EU-integration legal framework for reconstruction.
