A stepfather was arrested in the Khmelnytsky region for the repeated rape of an 11-year-old girl

In Khmelnytskyi region, a 35-year-old man was detained; he was notified of suspicion of the repeated rape of his underage stepdaughter, and the court ordered pretrial detention without the right to bail, the Khmelnytskyi Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported.

According to the investigation, this concerns a criminal offense classified as the repeated rape of a minor child, information about which the Khmelnytskyi Regional Prosecutor’s Office published in its message in Telegram.

Investigators established that at the end of March 2025 the man, taking advantage of the fact that his wife had fallen asleep in another room, committed sexual acts against his underage stepdaughter.

In April 2026, when the girl’s mother was undergoing inpatient treatment with her younger son, the stepfather raped the 11-year-old child again. The same day the victim told a close relative about what happened, after which they immediately contacted law enforcement.

After receiving the statement and conducting initial investigative actions, the suspect was detained. At the prosecutors’ request, the court remanded him in custody without the possibility of bail.
