The commission was there — the hole remained: in the Korabelnyi District the asphalt continues to sink
They waited three days for a response: a dangerous cavity had already formed beneath the road
Near the Entrance II of the multi-story building at 5 Korabeliv Avenue in the Korabelnyi district of the city of Mykolaiv is sinking the road surface. According to residents, a cavity has formed under the asphalt, creating a risk for vehicles, especially for trucks that regularly enter the local store. The residents of the building themselves, who were the first to raise the alarm, speak of a real threat to vehicles and people.
People reported the problem to their management company as early as April 10, 2026. Only three days later, on April 13, 2026, a commission arrived on site with representatives of the management company and Oblteploenergo. After the inspection it was determined that the problem was not related to their networks, and responsibility was effectively redirected to other services — in particular “Mykolaivvodokanal” and the city council’s Department of Housing and Communal Services.
As of the morning of April 23, 2026 the situation remained dangerous — the collapse had not been eliminated, and the road surface continued to deteriorate. Only today, according to residents, workers finally arrived on site and began to carry out repairs.
