Drone debris, a fire and new blazes in the city: how the rescuers' day unfolded in Mykolaiv region
War and household fires at the same time: rescuers extinguished fires both after the attack and in Mykolaiv itself
During April 18 and on the night of April 19, 2026, three fires were recorded in Mykolaiv Oblast. One of these incidents was the result of combat activity and the fall of debris from an enemy UAV.
In the Mykolaiv district on the night of April 19, a fire broke out at a transport infrastructure facility due to the impact of munitions and their fragments. Rescuers quickly extinguished the fire over an area of 50 sq. m.
Two more fires occurred in Mykolaiv itself. In one case, garbage was burning in an open area. In the other – wood and rubbish in a storage room of one of the facilities.
Both city fires were extinguished by firefighters in the shortest possible time over small areas. The causes of these fires are currently being determined by specialists.
