Debris, fire, damaged equipment: what the Mykolaiv region experienced last night
According to the Mykolaiv OVA, as of the morning of April 19, 2026, the enemy attacked the region at night with UAVs of the “Shahed-131/136” type.
As a result of combat activity and falling debris in the Mykolaiv district, a fire broke out, and equipment on the premises of a transport infrastructure facility was also damaged.
Rescuers quickly extinguished the fire over an area of 50 sq. m. According to preliminary information, no one was injured.
Separately, the administration reported that over the past day above the Mykolaiv region 8 strike UAVs of the “Shahed 131/136” type and various types of decoy drones were shot down/suppressed.
In addition to the night drone attack, the day before the enemy struck the Ochakiv community, reportedly with MLRS. In this case as well, according to the OVA, there were no casualties.
In recent days, Russian forces have been systematically striking the Mykolaiv region in a combined manner – with drones, FPV and artillery, and not only communities near the coastline but also the region’s energy and transport infrastructure have come under attack. On April 17, the OVA reported a massive “Shahed” attack, damage to critical infrastructure and temporary power outages in districts of the region.
