Mykolaiv school lunches: new suspicions against the head of the municipal enterprise (KP) and the supplier
An investigation was opened after the disruption of the first day of meals; the case involves Viktoriya Stoyeva, manager of "Prosecco 8", and Lyubov Haichenko, director of "PromAgroTrade"
In Mykolaiv, the head of the municipal enterprise for organizing catering in educational institutions, Petro Vashenjak, was issued a new suspicion of embezzlement of property; the supplier of products for the institutions — the director of LLC «PromAgroTrade» — was also issued a suspicion.
News of the update in the proceedings was reported by «Suspilne», citing the Mykolaiv regional prosecutor’s office. According to the agency, Petro Vashenjak’s actions were qualified under the article on appropriation, embezzlement of property, or seizure of it by abuse of official position. The prescribed punishment is up to 8 years imprisonment with an additional ban on holding certain positions for up to 3 years.
The director of LLC «PromAgroTrade» received a suspicion under the article on violation of sanitary rules and norms related to the prevention of infectious diseases and mass poisonings. The sanction provides for a fine of up to 51 thousand hryvnias, or probationary supervision for up to 3 years, or restriction or deprivation of liberty for up to 3 years.
Information from the ProZorro system shows that «PromAgroTrade» won a tender of over 16 million hryvnias for the supply of chicken thighs for schools. The customer was the municipal production enterprise for organizing catering in educational institutions of Mykolaiv.
According to the analytical platform YouControl, the company «PromAgroTrade» is managed by Liubov Haichenko.
Earlier, the company «Prossecco 8», which won the tender to organize school meals in Mykolaiv, failed to provide a full menu on the first day of operation. After that, the police opened a criminal case and conducted searches.
