Ukrainians can now apply through Diia for state assistance related to pregnancy and childbirth, as well as monthly childcare payments until a child turns one. Depending on the type of assistance and the family’s circumstances, the amount ranges from 7,000 to 10,500 hryvnias per month. The online services were launched on October 20, 2026, according to announcements on the Government Portal and in Diia.

Pregnancy and childbirth assistance amounts to 7,000 hryvnias per month. It is available to women who are not covered by the compulsory state social insurance system. A medical certificate in the “Pregnancy and Childbirth” category is required to apply. The money is paid into a regular Diia.Card account and can be used without restrictions.

The childcare payment until a child turns one is also 7,000 hryvnias per month. For families raising a child with a disability, the amount increases to 10,500 hryvnias per month. These funds are paid into a special “Child Care” account and are intended to cover children’s needs, including food, clothing, and care.

To apply online, sign in to the Diia portal, fill out the form, and sign it electronically. To receive the childcare payment, you need a special “Child Care” account in Diia.Card. After you submit the application, the system verifies the data against state registers, and an employee of the Pension Fund of Ukraine reviews and approves the decision.

You can also apply in person at Pension Fund service centers, administrative service centers, or through authorized representatives of local communities.

The services were previously beta-tested with around 400 women. Following the successful test, applications for the payments became available to a wider range of users.
