Trump wants a different Ukrainian negotiator instead of Zelenskyy
The U.S. president also stated that he was ready for a trilateral meeting
U.S. President Donald Trump said he was ready for a trilateral meeting with the leaders of Ukraine and Russia. UNN reported his remarks, citing AP.
When asked about the possibility of negotiations without Volodymyr Zelenskyy taking part, the U.S. president replied:
“I will do everything in my power to end the war, whether anyone is there or not,” said Donald Trump.
“I think it’s time for someone else to lead the negotiations on behalf of Ukraine,” the U.S. president added.
Earlier, The Wall Street Journal reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin had proposed holding such a trilateral meeting to discuss ending the war in Ukraine.
