A pedestrian was hospitalized after a crash involving a crossover in Mykolaiv
According to preliminary information, the woman was crossing the road at an uncontrolled pedestrian crossing
In Mykolaiv, a traffic accident involving a Toyota RAV4 crossover and a female pedestrian occurred on the morning of October 9. The 55-year-old woman sustained injuries and was taken to a medical facility, where she was hospitalized.
According to the Mykolaiv Oblast Police, the crash happened at around 9:00 a.m. near the intersection of Troitska Street and 2nd Embankment Street. The crossover was driven by a 39-year-old woman. The pedestrian was crossing the roadway—preliminary information indicates that she was using an uncontrolled pedestrian crossing.
Investigators have preliminarily classified the incident under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine—violation of traffic safety rules or vehicle operating regulations by drivers. The penalty is up to three years of restricted liberty, along with a ban on driving for the same period.
