The Ukrainian Blade interceptor can be supplied to the Defense Forces
The system has been codified by the Ministry of Defense and will soon be available on Brave1 Market
Ukraine’s Blade interceptor drone, developed by Phantom Defense, has received certification from the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine. This paves the way for the system to be supplied to the Defence Forces. According to Oboronka, it will also be available on the Brave1 Market platform soon. Source: oboronka.mezha.ua.
The Blade is designed to destroy fixed-wing drones. To operate at different times of day, the interceptor is equipped with daylight and thermal imaging cameras. Its vertical take-off and landing capabilities allow it to be used from sites without any special preparation.
Key specifications:
- maximum speed: 310 km/h;
- operating range: up to 30 km;
- payload capacity: up to 0.5 kg.
The drone is controlled by a ground station housed in a case. It transmits telemetry and video, enables flight control, and allows the operator to work autonomously for at least four hours.
The interceptor is part of a broader counter-drone system developed by Phantom Defense. It combines detection and electronic warfare capabilities with a battle management platform.
Another Ukrainian company, WINFLY, has unveiled the WINFLY Spider interceptor drone, also designed to combat drones. It is equipped with a net launcher and can return for reuse after deploying it.
