New asphalt pavement was laid in Mykolaiv

In Mykolaiv, crews of KP «ELU Avtodorih» completed asphalt paving of two sections of city roads. On other streets they have already milled the pavement and are preparing it for the next stage of repairs. The completed works were reported by the Mykolaiv City Council.

New asphalt pavement was laid on the following sections:

• Hromadyanska Street — between Admiralska Street and Central Avenue.
• Admiralska Street — between 1st Slobidska Street and Mariupolska Street.

Laying the asphalt concrete mix was preceded by base preparation: road workers milled the damaged pavement, removed contamination with compressed air, and applied a bitumen emulsion. This sequence of works is necessary for the new asphalt layer to properly bond with the existing base.

Milling was also completed on the following sections:

• Andriya Pokrovskyi Street — from the intersections with Arkasivska Street and Vadym Blahovisnyi Street to Central Avenue.
• Bila Street — between General Oleksa Almazov Street and Kyivska Street.
• Dmytro Petukhov Street.
• Lazurna Street.

Separately, on the roundabout of Lazurna and Ozerna Streets, workers removed pavement bulges. Repairs of the city’s main roads continue.
