Ground frosts down to -3°C are expected in most regions of Ukraine

In the first days of October in Ukraine, frosts on the ground surface down to -3° are forecast. At the same time, nighttime air temperatures will be +1…+8°, and daytime temperatures will rise to +14…+21°. Thus, cold nights will be combined with noticeably warmer and quite comfortable days.

According to the forecast, the area affected by frosts will gradually expand:

• October 1 ground surface temperatures of 0…-3° are expected in the western and northern oblasts, as well as in Vinnytsia, Cherkasy and Poltava oblasts.
• October 2 and 3 ground frosts may occur in places in most oblasts of the country.

During the forecast period, significant precipitation is not expected in most regions. Exceptions may be the Sea of Azov region and Crimea: on the first day of the month light, brief rain is possible there in places.
