Some online TV channels went off the air in Mykolaiv after a strike on a Kyiv data center
No timeline for the full restoration of the broadcast has been announced yet
In Mykolaiv and, likely, in other regions of Ukraine, there have been disruptions to online television. Some channels stopped broadcasting after a Russian attack on one of the data centers in Kyiv.
The issue was reported by the Mykolaiv internet provider «Wild Park». The company noted that the timelines for restoring broadcasts are currently unknown.
“As a result of an attack on one of the data centers in Kyiv, many channels are currently not broadcasting. Work to eliminate the consequences of the attack is underway. There is no information yet on the timelines for restoring the broadcast. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding,” — said «Wild Park».
According to media reports, over the past two days Russian attacks have damaged sites, data centers, communication nodes and equipment of a number of companies:
- Datagroup;
- UTELS;
- «Pavutina»;
- Crazy Network;
- KIEVNET;
- Faust / Fast.net;
- Etherlink;
- Cityhost;
- MiroHost;
- «Domonet»;
- CEC «Parkovy».
Due to strikes on Kyiv data centers, the TV channel Novyny.LIVE temporarily suspended its broadcast. Online reports also note signal problems with other TV channels, including:
- «Pryamiy»;
- «Apostrophe»;
- «Channel 5»;
- other TV channels.
Streaming interruptions are also being observed on OTT platforms:
- Kyivstar;
- Tenet;
- Megogo;
- Maincast.
Users report the absence of some sports, educational and news channels. In some cases, not only live broadcasts but also archives of previously recorded streams are unavailable.
When all services will be fully restored is not yet known. Providers continue to work on repairing the damaged infrastructure.
