Food product sales decreased, while retail trade in Mykolaiv Oblast grew to UAH 20.7 billion
Non-food goods accounted for 53.8% of turnover and increased by 10.3%
Retail turnover of enterprises in Mykolaiv region for January–June 2026 reached UAH 20.7 billion. In comparable prices the indicator increased by 5% compared with the same period of the previous year.
The main part of sales was formed by non-food goods — 53.8% of total turnover, or UAH 11.1 billion. Compared with January–June 2025, sales of this group increased by 10.3%.
The largest shares among non-food goods were:
- pharmaceutical products — 17.8%;
- gasoline — 8.8%;
- cosmetics and toiletries — 7.5%;
- household electrical appliances — 6.3%;
- medical and orthopedic goods — 6.1%.
Sales of food products, by contrast, declined slightly. In the first half of the year enterprises sold them for UAH 9.6 billion — which is 0.7% less than a year earlier.
In the structure of food sales the largest shares were:
- alcoholic beverages — 11.7%;
- meat and meat products — 11.5%;
- dairy products — 10.4%;
- tobacco products — 10.3%;
- fresh vegetables and fruit — 8%.
Goods made in Ukraine accounted for 51% of total retail turnover. In the food group their share was about 80%, while among non-food goods it was 27%.
