President Volodymyr Zelensky wants, after the end of the war and his term in office, to remain in Ukraine and walk its streets freely. He discussed what life after the presidency might look like in an interview with The Wall Street Journal.
During the conversation, the head of state was asked how he copes with the stress after years of full-scale war. Volodymyr Zelensky replied that he is not sure how well he manages it.
The President emphasized that for him it is important not only how people feel about him, but also the ability to continue living in his country.
It’s not even about people respecting you. It’s about being able, after the war and after this presidential work, to continue living in your country, to walk the streets, and for no one to want to kill you or to hate you.
Volodymyr Zelensky added that such a future depends on how a person does their job and how they try to live.
