A 61-year-old female patient died after an apparent fall from a hospital window

In the morning of September 22, the body of a 61-year-old woman was found on the grounds of one of the city hospitals. According to preliminary police information, the patient may have jumped from a window of the medical facility. She died from her injuries.

A report from a medical worker was received on the emergency line 102 at about 04:30. An investigative-operational group of the No. 2 police department of the Mykolaiv District Police Department arrived at the scene.

Police determined that the day before the woman had come to the hospital on her own, after which medical staff hospitalized her.

The incident was classified under Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine with the note “Suicide” — this procedure is applied in similar cases. The woman’s body was sent for forensic medical examination.

The police are currently determining the causes and circumstances of the tragedy.
