Five for oversight of "Mykolaiv Electric Transport": who is vying for seats on the supervisory board

In Mykolaiv, candidates for the supervisory board of the municipal enterprise “Mykolaivelektrotrans” have been selected. The proposed composition includes 3 winners of the open competition and 2 representatives of the owner — the city. The decision to approve the board is to be submitted for consideration by deputies at the next session of the Mykolaiv City Council.

The city’s representatives were:

• Dmytro Parobok — First Deputy Chairman of the Board of PrJSC NAC “Nadra of Ukraine”, holder of a master’s degree in transport technologies and law, with over 10 years of experience in senior positions at JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” (Ukrainian Railways), State Enterprise “Ukrgeofizika” and other institutions. He has experience in financial-economic and administrative management, budgeting, pricing policy formation, optimization of operational processes and crisis management. He also worked on implementing a quality management system according to the ISO 9001:2015 standard, organizing public procurement, developing public-private partnerships and attracting international investors.
• Volodymyr Tarasiuk — Candidate of Technical Sciences, lecturer at KNUBA, expert in transport planning and project manager at the consulting company “ProMobility”. He has practical experience in transport modelling, restructuring route networks and evaluating the performance of municipal transport enterprises, and has collaborated with cities in Ukraine and abroad, as well as with municipal transport companies.

Dmytro Parobok previously took part in an open competition for the positions of independent members of the supervisory board. He scored 81 points, placed 5th and was among the candidates whom the competition commission separately recommended as strong contenders. Volodymyr Tarasiuk was chosen as the owner’s representative because of his professional expertise in urban mobility.

The open competition winners were:

• Viktoriia Ogryza — a lawyer with over 25 years of experience in corporate law, a member of the executive board of LLC “Sandora” — PepsiCo Ukraine. Her specialization includes compliance, anti-corruption programs and crisis management.
• Mar’yana Yashna — a specialist with over 16 years of experience in internal audit. She led audits of more than 25 enterprises within the TAS Group and specializes in control-and-audit activities, standardization of procurement processes and Lean management.
• Nadiia Vasylieva — holds a master’s degree in economics and an Executive MBA, with over 20 years of experience in digital transformation. She held senior positions at Kyivstar, Microsoft and State Concern “Ukroboronprom”, and specializes in digitalization of the public sector, implementation of AI/ML and management in crisis conditions.

The city council explained that the owner’s representatives were selected to form a professional and balanced composition in which the experience and competencies of members will complement one another. From the future supervisory board they expect a comprehensive approach to strategic issues, effective oversight and well-considered managerial decisions.

The supervisory board will be responsible for the transparency of decisions, control of finances and procurements, forming a strategic vision and guiding the work of the municipal enterprise “Mykolaivelektrotrans”. The goal of the reform is to increase the efficiency of municipal enterprises, bring their work closer to international standards and improve the quality of services for city residents.

The corporate governance reform in Mykolaiv is being implemented with the support of the EU Anti-Corruption Initiative.
