48 extended-day groups will begin operating in Mykolaiv schools

From October 1, extended-day groups will resume operation in the general secondary education institutions of Mykolaiv. This was announced during a briefing by the head of the Department of Education, Hanna Lychko.

A total of 48 groups will operate on the premises of 41 educational institutions. They will accept children in-person, but will open only in those schools that have their own shelters. The main condition for operation remains safety.

In the context of the full-scale war, extended-day groups were restored for the first time last year. According to Hanna Lychko, this format was in high demand, so the practice was decided to be continued in the new school year.
