The driver began dumping grain onto the road: four MAN trucks tried to bypass a weigh station in Mykolaiv region

In the Mykolaiv region, four MAN trucks attempted to bypass the WIM-52 automated weigh-in-motion system. After inspection, each vehicle was found to exceed the permitted gross weight, reported Ukrtransbezpeka.

Inspectors from Ukrtransbezpeka, together with police officers, inspected the vehicles and instructed the drivers to proceed to the nearest weight-and-dimension control checkpoint. The weigh-in results showed overloads on all four vehicles — from 10% to 40%.

In addition, two drivers did not have the documents required for transportation. One of the drivers, attempting to avoid responsibility for the overload, began unloading part of the grain directly onto the road. The police drew up an administrative offense report against him.

All four trucks were blocked until the violations were remedied. They were allowed to continue only after the excess cargo was offloaded and a subsequent control re-weighing. The total amount of fines for all detected violations amounts to 238 thousand hryvnias.
