Yellow or Red: Mykolaiv region has changed the air-raid alert format
The new system is currently being tested in pilot mode
In the Mykolaiv region, a differentiated air-raid alert system has started operating. From now on, messages will indicate not only the fact of danger but also the threat level.
Acting head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Heorhii Reshetilov, reported this on his channel.
The system provides for two levels:
- The yellow level is declared in case of a threat of drone attacks.
- The red level is in effect in the case of missile or missile-and-drone threats, as well as during a mass drone attack.
The regional military administration clarified that the new alert format is currently operating in pilot mode.
Differentiated air-raid alerts were introduced in accordance with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 4 September 2026, No. 1092. With this decision, the government also defined two levels of air-raid alerts and obliged businesses to ensure people’s access to shelters.
Earlier we wrote:
- The alert was activated after explosions: “Banderoli” flew over the river at an altitude of up to 2 meters
- In Mykolaiv, they are considering allowing CNAP visitors to be received in shelters
- On the Diia platform, a separate app about air-raid alerts, drones, and rockets will be created
- In Mykolaiv, a renovated shelter in the Korabelnyi district has been closed for two years
- Air-raid alerts in Ukraine will change: “yellow” — for drones, “red” — for rockets and ballistic missiles
