In Mykolaiv region, a car collided with a moped: the driver was taken to the hospital

Today, 5 September, at about 10:00 at an uncontrolled intersection of Bolharska and Hetmanska streets in the city of Voznesensk, a collision occurred between a Ford Fiesta car, driven by a 47-year-old man, and a Honda SK 50 M Dio moped, which was driven by a 47-year-old rider.

As a result of the road traffic accident, the moped rider sustained bodily injuries and was taken to a medical facility.

Investigators have opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, “Violation of traffic safety rules or the operation of vehicles by persons who drive vehicles.” The article’s penalty provides for up to three years of restriction of liberty with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for the same period.

The police are establishing all the circumstances and causes of the traffic accident.

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
