"Shaheds" again struck homes: 15 houses and three cars were damaged in Mykolaiv

On September 2, 2026, Russian forces attacked Mykolaiv Oblast with strike drones of the “Shahed” type. According to updated information, 15 private homes and three cars were damaged in Mykolaiv. The consequences of the enemy strikes were also recorded in the Halytsynivska and Kutsurubska communities.

Most destruction was recorded in Mykolaiv. Earlier on the morning of September 2, after the Russian strike, it was initially reported that seven private homes and three cars had been damaged, but after surveying the area the number of damaged residences increased to 15 houses. Mayor Oleksandr Senkevych previously provided additional details of the attack’s consequences. According to him, about 90 windows were blown out in the damaged houses, roofs were damaged in six homes, and another house sustained damage to an exterior wall. Communal and emergency services worked at the strike sites. Specialists inspected damaged property, recorded the consequences of the Russian attack, and assisted residents. Police were also documenting another war crime by the Russian Federation. Investigators, operatives and explosive technicians worked at the sites, collecting material evidence as part of an investigation under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

In addition to the regional center, damage was recorded in two other communities of Mykolaiv district. In the Halytsynivska community, the Russian attack damaged the building of a non-operational social services facility. In the Kutsurubska community, a private residential house was damaged.

In recent days the Russians have been systematically attacking Mykolaiv region with various types of drones. The day before, the enemy used “Shahed”, “Molniya”, FPV drones and the cruise missile “Banderol”. Among those hit were the Ochakivska, Stepivska and Kutsurubska communities.
