Vitaliy Kim urged the Mykolaiv City Council to "use funds properly" amid a budget shortfall
The issue of additional funding for Mykolaiv, together with the finance minister, has not yet been resolved
The Minister for Veterans Affairs of Ukraine and former head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Vitaliy Kim, urged the Mykolaiv City Council to use budget funds rationally. He said this during the city council meeting on Tuesday, September 1.
Kim spoke after deputies supported a decision to amend the city budget and reallocate funds. The minister thanked them for their support and emphasized that, under current conditions, taxpayers play an important role in filling budgets.
“Indeed, these are difficult times, and thanks to taxpayers there is assistance to both the region and the city of Mykolaiv. So I wish you to use the money properly this year,” — said Vitaliy Kim.
He also noted that he is aware of the deficit problem in Mykolaiv’s city budget. According to the minister, it has not yet been possible to finally resolve this issue together with the finance minister.
“The budget is very difficult, I know about the deficit problem for the city of Mykolaiv. For now we cannot resolve this issue together with the finance minister,” — Kim said.
Concluding his remarks, Vitaliy Kim thanked the deputies and added that he will continue to take part in the meetings of the Mykolaiv City Council.
As previously reported, Mykolaiv’s budget was saved by additional revenues from taxpayers.
