In the Mykolaiv region, 65 children were born during the week, including a set of twins
The smallest newborn weighed 1900 grams
During the period from 24 to 30 August in the medical institutions of Mykolaiv region, 65 children were born. Among the newborns — 39 girls and 26 boys.
The number of births was reported by the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration. During this week, one of the cases involved a twin birth.
The lightest baby among those born during the specified period weighed 1900 grams. The delivery took place at the Pervomaisk Central City Multidisciplinary Hospital.
Separate statistics were released by the Mykolaiv Health Department. In the maternity wards of city medical institutions from 21 to 28 August, 35 children were born: 18 boys and 17 girls.
“We live today in a time that forces us to count losses. But in the maternity wards they count something else — first breaths, grams, seconds and the beats of a tiny heart,” the Mykolaiv Health Department stated.
For comparison, a week earlier in Mykolaiv 34 children were born.
