A historian who debunks Russian myths needs medical treatment in Germany

Renowned Ukrainian historian-educator and author of the YouTube channel «Vox Veritatis — Voice of Truth» Vitaliy Dribnytsia needs financial assistance to continue fighting an oncological disease. Urging support for his longtime friend was historian and director of the Ukrainian Center for the Study of the History of the Holocaust Anatoliy Podolskyi. He published the corresponding appeal on his Facebook page.

Vitaliy Dribnytsia — historian, educator, methodologist and co-author of school textbooks on the history of Ukraine. For more than five years he has been engaged in educational outreach and debunking Russian propaganda myths. His YouTube channel «Vox Veritatis — Voice of Truth» currently has about 590 thousand subscribers. In his videos Dribnytsia communicates with Russians, explains the history of Ukraine, and exposes manipulations of Kremlin propaganda.

“At the beginning of the large-scale invasion Vitaliy told me: “Friend, this is my trench,” — said Anatoliy Podolskyi.

According to Anatoliy Podolskyi, the 61-year-old historian has been fighting an oncological disease for almost ten years. He has undergone numerous stages of treatment, but after another course of chemotherapy his condition significantly worsened. Despite the illness, Vitaliy Dribnytsia continues to work and run his educational channel.

As Podolskyi noted, there is currently hope for help from a German clinic, since, in his words, the necessary tests and medications are not available in Ukraine. The exact amount needed for treatment has not yet been announced.
