In Mykolaiv, police detained a serviceman suspected of receiving an undue benefit. For 16 thousand US dollars he promised a client to influence servicemembers of a military unit and officials of the military medical commission, so that later her husband liable for military service could be removed from the military register.
The serviceman was detained in the course of procedural actions while receiving part of the agreed sum.
For the committed act he faces up to 8 years in prison.
