Youth from across the Mykolaiv region gathered at Tyligul: sports, a regatta, and the first session of the congress

In the Mykolaiv region the Tiligul Games-2026 concluded. Over the course of three days more than 350 participants from different communities of the region gathered on the Tiligul. About this 10 August 2026 reported Heorhiy Reshetilov. Information about the number of participants was also published by the Mykolaiv OVA.

The program was full of sports, training and socializing. Participants competed in the Ukrainian hand-to-hand combat “Spas” in the “Lava na lava” format, took to the water during the regatta “Sails of Unity”, took part in debates and trainings and learned to work in teams.

Informal meetings became a separate part of the Tiligul Games: young people from different communities got to know each other, socialized and gathered together around the evening bonfire.

However, Tiligul Games-2026 was not only a sports-and-recreation event. During the event the first meeting of the regional Youth Congress took place. Participants discussed their own proposals and the directions the youth representation will work on going forward.

Heorhiy Reshetilov emphasized that young people should not only take part in events but also have a real opportunity to influence decisions in the region.

“Because it is important not to decide for young people, but to listen to them and give them the opportunity to influence what happens in the region”.

The Mykolaiv Youth Congress was formed in June 2026. Its composition included 52 delegates who represent the territorial communities of the region. They elected Yevheniia Yevsyukova as chair, Anna Chumak as deputy, and Antonina Ustinova as secretary.

According to Heorhiy Reshetilov, during the first meeting participants already identified the further directions of work. The authorities, for their part, should support youth initiatives and help with their implementation.

Concluding the post about Tiligul Games-2026, Heorhiy Reshetilov gave special thanks to the Ukrainian military.
