He showed vegetables to the occupiers' drone, but it attacked: a resident of Mykolaiv region was wounded in Kherson
The wife managed to hide: a drone was chasing the seller near the car
In Kherson a Russian drone attacked a 52-year-old resident of the Mykolaiv region, Yurii, who came to the city with his wife to sell vegetables. The man sustained a blast injury, a concussion and multiple shrapnel wounds. This was reported on 4 August 2026 by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.
The couple had only begun to lay out their goods when a Russian UAV hovered over their car. Yurii’s wife managed to run and hide, while the drone began to pursue the man. According to the regional administration, the drone circled the vehicle for about a minute. Yurii tried to show that there was nothing in the car except vegetables, but the drone operator continued the attack.
A munition struck the vehicle. Yurii survived, although he suffered significant bodily injuries. His life is not currently in danger; medics are providing the necessary care. In the video the victim said that the Russian drone has attacked him for the second time. According to him, during the previous incident the drone also hit his car while he was driving through Kherson.
