"Gold", three "silvers" and eight "bronzes": the triumph of athletes from Mykolaiv in Lviv

Mykolaiv athletes won 12 awards at the Ukraine Athletics Championships for adults and youth, which took place from 10 to 12 July 2026 in Lviv. The results of the competitions were reported on 15 July by the Mykolaiv City Council.

Students of MSDYUSSHOR won 11 medals:

• Антон Сміян — gold in the 400-meter hurdles among youth and silver in the same event among adults;
• Яна Жураківська — silver in the 400 meters among youth;
• Андрій Куліуш — two bronze medals in the triple jump among adults and youth;
• Віктор Волкорєзов, Антон Сміян та Віталій Карпенко — bronze medalists in the 4×400 meter relay among adults;
• Анастасія Алємаскіна, Карина Буханець та Яна Жураківська — bronze medalists in the 4×100 meter relay among youth.

Another medal was won by a representative of the Mykolaiv School of Higher Sports Mastery, Юлія Козуб, who became a silver medalist of the Ukrainian Championships. In total, Mykolaiv athletes won one gold, three silver and eight bronze medals.

The athletes were coached by Алла Ковпак, Вікторія Кілярська, Ірина Шаповалова, Марина Чумаченко, Юрій Грицак, Юрій Сергієнко and Юрій Строін.
