A man's body was floating five meters from the shore: tragedy in Mykolaiv region
Local residents found a drowned person on the surface of a body of water
On the morning of July 9, 2026, in the village of Blahodatne of the Blahodatne community, Pervomaisk district, local residents discovered the body of a man in the Korabelna River. This was reported by the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Mykolaiv Oblast.
The deceased was on the surface of the water approximately five meters from the shore. Rescuers recovered the body from the water and handed it over to law enforcement. Police are currently establishing the man’s identity and all circumstances of his death.
The State Emergency Service urged swimmers to bathe only in permitted areas, not to enter the water while intoxicated, not to dive in unfamiliar bodies of water, and not to leave children unattended near water.
