A 17-year-old girl died, three others are in hospital: in Mykolaiv region a Skoda collided with a truck
Police are investigating the causes and all circumstances of the traffic accident
On the night of 1 July 2026, a fatal road accident occurred on the H-11 “Dnipro-Mykolaiv” highway involving a Skoda Octavia passenger car and a DAF truck with a semi-trailer.
According to the Communications Department of the Mykolaiv Oblast Police.
The accident happened at about 02:40 near the village of Mar’yanivka in Bashtanka Raion.
The Skoda was driven by a 24-year-old man; the truck was driven by a 60-year-old driver.
As a result of the collision, a 17-year-old passenger of the car died at the scene.
The Skoda driver and two other passengers — a 24-year-old man and a 17-year-old girl — were taken to hospital with injuries of varying severity.

Investigators have provisionally classified the incident under part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The article’s sanction provides for up to 8 years of imprisonment with possible disqualification from driving for up to 3 years.
Police are establishing the causes and all circumstances of the accident.
