On the Dnipro–Mykolaiv highway, a BMW collided with a truck: a 26-year-old female driver was killed
A 27-year-old female passenger with injuries was taken to the hospital
In Bashtanskyi district, as a result of a collision between a BMW X3 crossover and a MAN truck, the 26-year-old driver of the car died. Her 27-year-old passenger was taken to hospital with injuries.
This was reported by the communications department of the Mykolaiv Oblast police.
The road traffic accident occurred on June 26, 2026 at approximately 08:40 on kilometer 218 of the H-11 Dnipro — Mykolaiv highway, near the village of Maryanivka in Bashtanskyi district.
According to preliminary data, a BMW X3 driven by a 26-year-old woman and a MAN truck with a semi-trailer driven by a 61-year-old man collided.
As a result of the crash the crossover’s driver died at the scene. Rescuers extricated her body from the mangled vehicle.
The 27-year-old BMW passenger, with bodily injuries, was taken to a medical facility. The truck driver was not injured.
Investigators have preliminarily classified the incident under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — violation of traffic safety rules or vehicle operation that caused the victim’s death.
Police are establishing the causes and circumstances of the accident.
