Another heavy loss for Korablenyi: the community laid a Defender of Ukraine to rest
Flag, flowers, and silence: In Balabanivka, they bid farewell to Oleksandr Tsvik
In Balabanivka they bid farewell to the Defender of Ukraine Oleksandr Mykolaiovych Tsvik.
People came to the church to say goodbye to the soldier, to pay homage to his memory and to thank him for his service to Ukraine. Beside the coffin were flowers, the Ukrainian flag, a portrait of the smiling serviceman, and a silence that held more pain than words could convey.
Oleksandr Mykolaiovych Tsvik was born on 19 January 1974. His earthly journey ended on 15 May 2026.
Today relatives, friends, comrades and fellow villagers accompanied the Hero on his final journey. After the farewell in the church, people went out into the street with flowers to pay their last respects to the soldier who took up the defense of Ukraine against Russian aggression.
This is another painful loss for the community and for all who knew Oleksandr Mykolaiovych Tsvik. He will be remembered as a Defender who fulfilled his duty to the country.
