A drone exploded in the middle of the city: in Mykolaiv, windows were shattered after a Shahed fell

On Thursday afternoon, 28 May 2026, a Russian drone was shot down over Mykolaiv. After being hit, the enemy drone fell onto the roadway of one of the city streets and exploded. Readers of the publication «Новини-N» sent a video to the editorial office.

According to available information, no one was injured as a result of the explosion. At the same time, the shock wave damaged a nearby multi-storey building: it blew out several dozen windows. Fragments of the downed drone also damaged a car that was near the crash site. After the explosion a crater remained in the asphalt, and around it – fragments of the destroyed Russian Shahed.
