Shahed has arrived — the city counts windows: Mykolaiv under attack again

As of the morning 27 May 2026, Russian forces attacked Mykolaiv Oblast with strike UAVs of the “Shahed” type. The consequences of the enemy strike as of the morning were reported by the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration.

According to official information, as a result of the attack in Mykolaiv damage to an administrative building and two apartment buildings was recorded. Preliminary reports indicate that no people were injured.

The OVA’s statement does not specify which district of the city sustained the damage or the extent of the buildings’ destruction. At the same time, the very fact of a strike on residential areas again shows that Russian attacks on Mykolaiv remain a direct threat to civilians. For city residents, such nighttime attacks – are not just statistics in a report. They are broken windows, damaged property, restless nights, danger to families, and the constant expectation of new air raid alerts. Even when there are no injuries, the consequences for people and urban infrastructure remain tangible.
