In Mykolaiv Oblast, 8 km of a 35 kV backup power line are being built: faster restoration of electricity for tens of thousands during Russian attacks
A significant portion of the materials was provided through international humanitarian aid stocks
In the Mykolaiv Oblast, construction is underway on a new PL-35 kV overhead line that will serve as backup power for consumers in the event of shelling or emergency outages, the start of the work was reported by «Mykolaivoblenergo».
According to the operator, the new route, 8 km long, will allow tens of thousands of residents of one of the oblast’s districts to be re-energized quickly if necessary.
The company emphasizes that network redundancy is being created against the backdrop of high risks of damage to energy infrastructure during hostilities and to shorten the time needed to restore power supply to local residents.
«International assistance plays a major role in implementing these plans – a significant portion of the materials was taken from humanitarian stockpiles. Given the systematic destruction of energy facilities as a result of hostilities, the new overhead line will be the reserve that allows local residents to be connected more quickly», — reported «Mykolaivoblenergo».
